God Bless you! After corresponding with Linda for almost a year, I went to Manila last December to meet her. Dear Sunshine International, I'm writing to give you my deepest thanks for providing the excellent To be quite frank, I had no intentions at first to become married to anyone. I wrote approximately twenty ladies and of the twenty I found every one to be of good family background, intelligent, sincere, honest and attractive. I was wondering to myself, what screening process you used to assemble such a large list of first class females. I had planned to visit five ladies at first, but about a month after I had started writing I realized that I was writing to an exceptional young woman. My heart was won by her optimistic attitude, charm and some of the sweetest words ever put to paper (plus other qualities too numerous to mention). I really believed in my own mind that she was too good to be true, but over the months that followed, I became so convinced that she was the real thing that I decided that she would be the only woman I would visit during my trip. We met for the first time on December 19, 1987 and she so captivated my heart with her sweet nature, inner beauty and gentleness that I was in love at first sight. All we could do at first was to gaze at one another, then we embraced and held each other as if we had been together all our lives. I can't remember when I have ever felt so relaxed and comfortable with a woman I had just met and I could tell by the look in her eyes that she felt the same for me. Her family treated me as if I were a member of the family. Neighbors, friends and relatives stopped by to meet me and I can honestly say that I have never been welcomed more warmly than I was that day. When things are right you can feel deep in your soul. I asked her to marry me on the evening of the 20th and I was overjoyed when she accepted. The rest is history. One of the nicest things about corresponding with a potential mate/friend prior to meeting is that people will open up and tell each other things that they never would face to face. A person ends up truly knowning the other person and becoming friends before there is romance. The selection process is somewhat unconventional, but the results are still the same - boy meets girl - boy and girl fall in love. My wife chose me from 10 men that wrote to her (with me it was 20). Any man who thinks that he doesn't have to win a young lady's heart by this method of meeting someone, is sadly mistaken. These ladies will not marry just anybody in order to get a visa to another country. But if a man has a good heart and is sincere (and she will know), he could be lucky enough to be blessed with the truest love of all.
